Christmas is coming...

Boys....

before...

after.....

I hadn't been in Adam's room for several weeks.... and today, this is what I saw. I knew we needed to rearrange the bed and store some of David's guitar amps and stuff in his closet. So after a few hours, it didn't look half bad. At least you could see the carpet...

It's Winter Time....

I heart my uggs.

Family Wall

I saw this on a blog and wanted to try it. This wall is above my scrapbook table. I have wanted to hang some boards so I could pin up some pics and this is a better idea. I just stick them on with double sided poster tape and I think it looks pretty cool. I am mixing color and black and white and a few sepia toned pics. I'll keep adding pictures, this is only the beginning.....

BIRTHDAY CAKE A DAY OR TWO LATE....

Adam trying to blow out his candles

Paul doing the same

The reason we had cake a day or two later is because my little night owls were too tired after all the activities of the last few days to stay up and have cake. By the time Paul got home from wrestling practice and did homework, Adam was in bed. So needless to say, we had cake a few days late

I can't believe my youngest kids are 16!! WoW!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GUYS!
I LOVE YOU!

SWEET SIXTEEN

Adam and Paul had a sleepover for their 16th birthday party. There was Cy, Sean, Kevin, Alex, Brian, and Reid. I have never seen so many xbox systems, controllers, and cords in my life. They had 3 tv's set up so they could all play against each other. I went to bed around midnight, I think the last person finally went to bed at 6:30 a.m., yes, that would be Adam. The die hard partier!

Downstairs

I made pancakes, lots of pancakes, for breakfast, well I guess for when they woke up, which was really lunch time!

All seated around the table for the "candy game" which is something we play at almost every birthday party for the "guys".

You have loads of candy in the middle of the table, and always something big, like a huge candy bar that everyone wants.
Roll a "1" and you pick from the middle, roll a "6" and you get to steal what someone else has!!
The candy game is always a big hit. They all seemed to have a good time. I know they will all sleep well tonight. Happy Birthday boys.

ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PUZZLE

Away goes the nice comfy lazy boy and in comes the table we bought when we were first married to hold the puzzles we put together during Christmas time

I love doing puzzles. We put up a puzzle every year at Christmas time and put it together before Santa comes. Well... this year I think I single handedly(is that spelled right?) well any way I put almost this whole puzzle together by MYSELF!! Yeah that's right, by myself. I guess I better find other things to do with my time! I need to put out a new puzzle though....we got this one done way too fast. I need to pace myself.

THE JOYS OF AN OLDER MIND!

This is what happens when you are older and you put an expensive mouth guard into a pot of water to boil all the germs out..... you put in the water and the guard, then you turn on the stove... you then proceed to say family prayers and then go into the other room to work on a puzzle... sometimes wondering what that weird smell is and then all of a sudden your husband yells...."It's the mouth guard!" You run into the kitchen to smoke and see that you have really disinfected this little gem of a mouth guard! You also managed to ruin your pot in the process... oh I hate getting old....

SORRY PAUL...I'LL BUY YOU A NEW ONE

PAUL WAUL THE PEOPLES CHAMP!!

Sometimes you're up.....

Sometimes you're down....

But it's always a good day when you get to wrestle

I love to watch wrestling.... I never thought that I would like it, but I enjoy watching all the guys wrestle on the team. It is amazing to see them work so hard and bend in ways you didn't think possible. It is such a hard sport filled with running, strength training, eating right, and practicing and learning each and every move. You must be physically strong, but most importantly, you have to be mentally tough.

Annual Turkey Bowl 2008

Paul, Adam and Bo Bauserman

Chad Bell... so cute!
This is the annual get together on Thanksgiving morning... the men and teenagers from our church and anyone else who wants to come, get together and play the adults against the teens. Usually the adults have to cheat in order to win!! This is talked about for a year until the next turkey bowl. I think this year they played football and soccer, so needless to say the adults beat at football, but the youth rocked at soccer... so I guess everyone was happy... I didn't hear any complaining when my kids returned home... I think Dave was even limping....

After the Turkey bowl.... on to the meal, this is chicken dip, one of our favs

really good with crackers

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
I have many things to be grateful for this year... it would take way too long and be completely absurd, so I will just say I am so grateful for family, without that nothing else really matters, does it?

For all my boys

"The girl you marry will take a terrible chance on you. She will give her all to the young man she marries. He will largely determine the remainder of her life. She will even surrender her name to his name? There is another serious thing to which many young men become addicted. This is anger. With the least provocation they explode into tantrums of uncontrolled rage. It is pitiful to see someone so weak. But even worse, they are prone to lose all sense of reason and do things which bring later regret.

If you have a temper, now is the time to learn to control it. The more you do so while you are young, the more easily it will happen. Let no member of this Church ever lose control of himself in such an unnecessary and vicious manner. Let him bring to his marriage words of peace and composure.

I constantly deal with those cases of members of the Church who have been married in the temple and who later divorce and then apply for a cancellation of their temple sealing. When first married, they are full of great expectations, with a wonderful spirit of happiness. But the flower of love fades in an atmosphere of criticism and carping, of mean words and uncontrolled anger. Love flies out the window as contention enters. I repeat, my brethren, if any of you young men have trouble controlling your temper, I plead with you to begin the work of making that correction now. Otherwise you will bring only tears and sorrow into the homes which you will someday establish?

The girl who marries you?will wish to be married to someone who loves her, who trusts her, who walks beside her, who is her very best friend and companion. She will wish to be married to someone who encourages her in her Church activity and in community activities which will help her to develop her talents and make a greater contribution to society. She will want to be married to someone who has a sense of service to others, who is disposed to contribute to the Church and to other good causes. She will wish to be married to someone who loves the Lord and seeks to do His will."

Awesome Experience

David had the awesome experience to be able to baptize one of his good friends, Travis Sommers. Travis had waited a year to be baptized, (a wish from his mother) so that his mom felt he wasn't jumping into something without really knowing about it enough. It was so great that David was able to baptize him. It was a special day for both David and Travis.
